Objective: Design and produce a multi-sensory exhibition that explores the cultural revolution of 1960s London through music, fashion, and counterculture.

✨ Project Overview

Step into the rebellious heart of 1960s London—where sound, style, and spirit collided to ignite a creative revolution. Designed for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, this 100-foot-long, 20-foot-high exhibition blended interactive storytelling, archival artifacts, and emotional immersion to explore the global legacy of Swinging London.

From Carnaby Street to Beatlemania, the show invited visitors on a time-traveling journey through the decade’s most iconic moments—showcasing how youth culture redefined music, identity, and rebellion.

💡 Design Vision

The experience was imagined as a living time capsule—where visitors could not only observe history, but feel it.

Core Design Pillars:

  • ✔ Time Travel Through Space – Chronological narrative that guided visitors through key moments of the decade
  • ✔ Multi-Sensory Immersion – Projection mapping, surround sound, and VR brought historical context vividly to life
  • ✔ Fashion + Sound Interwoven – Music, movement, and style were experienced as inseparable forces

🕹️ Interactive Installations

  • 1. "A Moment in History" Touchscreen Wall Tap through cultural milestones with archival audio, visuals, and curated headlines 
  • 2. Retro TV Studio: Ready Steady Go! Reimagined Step into a broadcast booth and relive original 1960s music TV moments 
  • 3. Carnaby Street Window Displays A fashion-forward corner pulsing with mod style, textures, and music
  • 4. VR Beatles Concert Experience A fully immersive recreation of the Beatles’ 1964 Ed Sullivan Show performance 

🗺 Spatial & Visual Design

We designed the space to evoke nostalgia while leaning into innovation—allowing visitors to explore, play, and reflect.

  • • Interactive Timeline Wall – Connecting music, fashion, protest, and politics
  • • Studio Tech Zone – Explore the gear, effects, and production tools that shaped the era
  • • Live Experience Room – A 1960s club brought to life with mapped projections and archival sound
  • • Archive Lounge – Quiet space to engage with rare interviews, photo essays, and unseen footage

🎨 Aesthetic Influences

  • • Black-and-white mod photography layered with color-saturated overlays
  • • Neon accents and light choreography inspired by underground clubs
  • • Mid-century modern details in both form and typography
